China Accounting News WeeklyNo. 86]10.9-10.15 125 listed corps changes auditors Statistics data show that a total of 125 A-share listed corporations changed their accounting firms for the auditing of 2009 annual report, while the average auditing fee decreased from 740,000 yuan to 680,000 yuan. Of them, 11 have seen somewhat ‘improvement’ in auditors’ opinion on their annual reports. Profit of these companies increased significantly from 2008, however, this may be resulted from taking ‘big bath’. Development plan for accounting talents issued The Ministry of Finance has published the Medium- to Long-Term Development Plan for Accounting Talents (2010-2020). The Plan proposes to achieve the following objectives by 2020: to increase the accounting talents pool by 40%; to adjust the structure of accounting talents (10% high level talents, 40% medium level talents and 50% low level talents); to develop more than 60,000 integrity, professional and competent accounting talents working in industries, businesses, practices and academies.
